Robert Mionis is the President and CEO of StandardAero, a $1.5B company with nearly 4,000 employees worldwide.

StandardAero is a 100 year old company serving a diverse array of customers in business and general aviation, airline, military, helicopter, components, energy and VIP completions markets. StandardAero provides a global service network of 13 primary facilities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Singapore and Australia, plus over 50 sales and field service locations.

Prior to joining StandardAero, Mionis worked for StandardAero’s parent company Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) where he led the acquisition of legacy Standard Aero, Landmark Aviation and TSS forming what is now the branded StandardAero. Prior to DAE, Mionis was Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain for Honeywell’s Aerospace business headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz. In this role, Mionis was responsible for all aspects of the Aerospace Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), including manufacturing, quality, repair & overhaul, facilities, lean manufacturing, planning, health and environmental safety, and materials/supply chain management. Mionis was also Vice President of ISC for Aerospace Electronic Systems which he assumed upon joining Honeywell in November 2002.

Prior to Honeywell, Mionis was Corporate Officer and Senior Vice President and General Manager for Global Operations and Service Solutions for Axcelis Technologies, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in Beverly, Mass.

Mionis started his career with GE in the Manufacturing Management Program (MMP), holding positions of progressive responsibility over nine years at several GE businesses, including Aerospace and Engines. He then worked for AlliedSignal Aerospace Communication Sensor Systems in Towson, Md., in a variety of leadership positions including Director of Operations for Communication and Sensor Systems, where he led the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and oversaw Operational Excellence and Six Sigma.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mionis holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Mionis is a member of the Board of Directors for Innovative Solutions and Support (NASDAQ:ISSC); serves on the Executive Committee for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and is Chairman of GAMA’s Airworthiness and Maintenance Committee. He also serves on the University of Massachusetts’ College of Engineering Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Arizona Science Center.
